My Teaching Philosophy
Teachers have the opportunity every day to impact children's lives. The main reason that I am pursuing a degree in Elementary Education/Mild-Moderate Disabilities is so that I have a chance to impact students in a positive way. I have always had a passion for working with children and I would love to work with them on a day to day basis in the classroom. Teaching is a career that is extremely rewarding.
As a teacher, you as well as the students are always learning. As a teacher I will take it upon myself to learn new materials that will benefit my students in their future. Learning is a hands on process, and students learn by doing and by applying the knowledge they learned to every day life. Every student learns differently and as a teacher it is my job to make sure I am changing up my teaching styles to accommodate each and every one of my students learning abilities. My expectations for my students are to always give their best effort, to be open minded, and positive. By incorporating the curriculum into technology I will enhance my students learning. I believe that it is important to be a role model for your students and to model the behavior you wish for your students to have. Students look up to their teachers and by being a positive role model in their lives I am giving them the tools for success in their futures. |
